Duration: 1h15 or 2h with lakes

Through engaging activities adapted to the age group, students will have the chance to:

  • Discover a Monastic Site, learn how the monks lived, their building techniques, their education, their religion and much more.

  • Explore the iconic Round Tower, 7 churches and St. Kevin’s Kitchen.

  • Embark on a walk to the lower and upper lakes while learning about St. Kevin’s Myths, the mining history as well as the geography of the valley.

The mellow sounds of Irish traditional music played on the violin by your guide will accompany this tour to create an immersive experience for all.



Duration: 3h-4h with breaks, 7km (comfortable shoes and rain gear needed)

A route that will begin at the Monastic Site passing through the Upper and Lower lakes as well as the Miners Village where students will learn about the mining culture and the history of the valley before embarking on a trek which will offer magnificent views of the Glendalough Valley.
